Meet the Regional Judges
Anna Roy
Senior Advisor, Niti Aayog, Government of India
Ms. Anna Roy is a 1992-batch officer of the Indian Economic Service (IES). She has received her education from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, and Delhi School of Economics. She was a lecturer at Delhi University and worked at TERI before joining the IES. In the government she has worked in the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Civil Aviation, and NITI Aayog.
At NITI Aayog she heads the vertical dealing with data management and frontier technologies. In this role, she has led teams, which have brought out major reports like the National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain- the India Strategy, Approach Paper on AIRAWAT, Responsible AI- Principles & Enforcement Mechanism, etc.. Ms. Roy also heads the Women Entrepreneurship Platform, a NITI flagship that works towards developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem for women and also led the development of National Data Analytics Portal.
Two of the initiatives that were conceived, developed and launched, viz. National Data Analytics Portal and Women Entrepreneurship are examples of effective public private partnership where outcomes are achieved through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders
Atul Satija
Founder & ceo, The/Nudge & Founder 2.0 & CEO, GiveIndia

After 17 years of starting, scaling and turning around various businesses in some of the largest and most respected organisations globally, Atul started The/Nudge Foundation to do poverty alleviation work. Atul is now serving both The/Nudge and GiveIndia as their CEO.
Over his 5-year stint at InMobi as its Chief Business Officer, Atul helped scale the organisation to a global leader in mobile advertising, with operations in 20+ countries. Atul also served on the Board of Mobile Marketing Association.
Prior to InMobi, Atul was the Head of Mobile Business for Japan & Asia-Pacific at Google. Atul has also done various general management, business development and sales roles across technology companies including Adobe, Samsung and Infosys.
Atul also served EndPoverty, a non-profit, as Chairperson for two years, working on various aspects of poverty including water, sanitation, education, skill-development, sustainability and women empowerment, and continues to serve as their Board Member.
Atul has been named in the #40underForty list by The Economic Times in 2017. Atul holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Indian School of Business and B-Tech from National Institute of Technology.
Masoom Minawala

Her initiative#SupportIndianDesignershas helped over 100 brands andhas generated 500,000+ conversations and content for small businesses in India till date.One notable feat is that during these tough timesof Covid, just like so many othercelebrities, Masoom was very active on her Instagram page all the way from Belgium toconstantly come through for her people in India. She continuously shared verified leads andhelped people in every way possible to get through these tough times. She was at theforefront for helping Hemkunt Foundation raise funds so that more and more people couldhave access to oxygen.To top it off, Masoom is a proud member ofWomen IndiaChamber Commerce & Industry(WICCI), India-Austria Bilateral Business Council and now in partnership with UN Womenby becoming a Generation Equality Ally.
Nandita Mishra
Economic Advisor, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India
Smt. Nandita Mishra, an IES officer of the 1993 batch is currently working as an Economic Adviser in Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Basically, belongs to Odisha, from where she got her entire education till she joined service.
Throughout her educational career, she was recipient of National Merit Scholarship. She was also a JRF Scholar under the RBI Chair.
She has over 29 years of development sector professional experience on formulation, implementation and monitoring of social sector/infrastructure schemes in India.
She has a very broad spectrum of experience covering various Ministries of Govt. of India ranging from M/o Labour, M/o Industry, Niti Aayog, M/o Urban Development, M/o Women and Child Development and currently in M/o Corporate Affairs.
As part of her service career, she was sent to various Institutes both in the country and abroad, that includes University of Berkeley, California in 2018; Sanford School of Public Policy, Duke University USA in 2016, London School of Economics 2012; University of Ohio, Columbus USA and University of Brandeis, Massachusetts in the Summer of 2011. In TERI University where she was pursuing her Master’s in Public Policy and Sustainable Development, she went on to win the Gold Medal by topping her Batch of civil servants and other policy makers.
She has led delegation’s on PPP in Urban Management to Algeria & Spain, Bhutan, Nepal & Maldives, Srilanka & South Africa besides being to the Institutes of repute in Netherlands, France, Italy, Belgium etc.
She has served as International Adviser, through UNDP in Govt. of Afghanistan and being based there in crisis ridden and strife torn Afghanistan in the years 2008 & 09.
Her contributions there to the cause of women and children development was immensely appreciated and she was again invited as Adviser to the Minister on Women and Children’s issues in Afghanistan in 2013, which she went and fulfilled the task at hand.
Rana Barua
Group CEO, Havas Group India
Rana Barua is a well-known leader in the Indian advertising industry and one of the country's youngest network CEOs, overseeing one of the fastest growing advertising conglomerates. Rana is known for being a progressive business leader who has turned around companies, created award-winning cultures, and built successful corporates in advertising, marketing, and media over the course of his nearly three-decade career. He is also well-known for his active participation in corporate governance, sustainability, and policy formulation.
Currently, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Havas Group India, he is not just leading India’s fastest-growing advertising network but is also growing an entirely new generation of leaders, through collaboration and integration.
Rana oversees the entire Havas Group India network which comprises of over 1200 people across 15 specialist agencies across 3 verticals: Havas Media Group – Havas Media, Arena Media, Tribes (out-of-home), Market Place, Content, Sports & Entertainment, Metaverse | Havas Creative Group: Havas Worldwide (integrated creative), Shobiz Havas (experiential marketing), Conran Design Group (Branding & Design), Cake (Sports, Entertainment and Culture), Havas CX (Consumer Experience), Think Design Havas (design), Havas QED | Havas Health Group with Havas Life Sorento (healthcare). Globally, the Havas Group is fully integrated into Vivendi, which is one of the largest media and communications companies in the world. Rana is also actively involved in the India Vivendi Committee Exco.
With an illustrious career of nearly three decades, Rana has led esteemed organisations such as Contract India (a leading WPP creative agency) and RED FM (India’s leading radio network). He has also held senior leadership profiles in Radio City (as marketing head) and multiple WPP agencies (JWT, Ogilvy & Rediffusion Y&R), where he has spent a major part of his professional life.
Rana is one of the strongest advocates of the Indian advertising industry. This reflects in the various industry initiatives and award shows that he has actively participated in over the years. - including Grand Juror at Afaqs Foxglove Awards 2021, DMA EchoAsia, and AME Awards. He has been Jury Chair at the SAMMIE awards. He has also been a jury member at several key awards including, New York Festivals, Apac Effies, exchange4media News Broadcasting Awards, IMPACT's 50 Most Influential Women List 2020, Radio Forums, and many others. And he is also Esteemed Advisory Member at Indian Telly ADz Awards.
Rana is also passionate about policymaking and changes in the overall advertising industry and therefore plays a prominent role in several industry bodies. Since 2021, he has been the Vice President of The Advertising Club (TAC) Mumbai, the marketing and advertising industry’s apex body. He is on the Managing Committee of the IAA – India Chapter and is also the Honorary Treasurer of the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI). Rana has played a pivotal role in the resurgence of the Abby/One Show and the tie up and was Chairman of the AGC – The One Show Ad Club Abby for 2022.
As CEO of Havas Group India, he is also part of the governing council of The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), which provides its members with a business platform by giving them access to sector-specific information, networking opportunities and exchange of business ideas.
Havas Group India being part of the UN Women Unstereotype Alliance is another association that Rana has spearheaded as it began its India chapter. It is a groundbreaking take on gender equality where harmful stereotypes in advertising are being tackled. The Alliance’s work is even more crucial as it aims to centre its work in India on broadening the representation of women and girls in non-traditional roles in advertising with a focus on women returning to the workforce. It is a clear indicator of Havas Group’s commitment to driving gender diversity.
Rana also presides on the board of many leading companies across the Havas Group and is actively involved as a speaker at leading MBA institutions across the country.
Seema Jayachandran
Professor of Economics and Public Affairs, Princeton University
Seema Jayachandran is a Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University. Her research focuses on environmental conservation, gender equality, health, and other microeconomic topics in developing countries.
She serves on the board of directors of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) and leads J-PAL's gender sector. She is also co-director of the National Bureau of Economic Research's program in Development Economics and co-editor of the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics. In addition, she serves on CARE's board of directors.
Prior to joining Princeton, she was a faculty member at Northwestern University and Stanford University. She earned a PhD in economics from Harvard University, a master's degree in physics and philosophy from the University of Oxford where she was a Marshall Scholar, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from MIT.
